A great designer will be able to fit all the content he wants in the home page while still keeping the web pages below the size of 15-20kb so that fast loading of the pages can be done. After all, no browser will want to wait to see your fancy artwork. Creative web design is not just about the looks, it is about perceiving the information, understanding needs of the client and the clients business processes, not to mention thorough knowledge of obtaining traffic and internet marketing strategies.
