Personal branding can be defined as the creation of an asset that pertaining to a particular person or individual and that is uniquely distinguishable. Now personal branding is easier than company branding by believing our talent, skills and ability – it’s easier to sell what we believe in. Our image is already created then just has to market it by creating a strong and consistent brand.

- Increase our notoriety and improve our perceived value in the marketplace.
The key to successful personal branding and doing it effectively is to first establish a personal brand identity which influences how prospects, customers and decision-makers perceive you. Personal branding is a power weapon which can turn the business or practice into a growing, wealth-building machine.
Personal branding is when the main marketing focus for a business opportunity or product is on an individual that has benefited from it, personally endorses it, explains it to others, and personally conducts the sale. In short, personal branding is when the business owner makes a personal connection with a prospect before a sale is made. In order to popularize the personal branding media used to promote social marketing can be articles, blog posts, videos, press releases, and popular social media sites, such as Facebook, My space, Twitter etc.
There are two types of personal branding associated with two pools of individuals. The first pool is of content creators, thought leaders, business visionaries, bloggers, etc. These are people whose livelihood and reputation are largely tied to their “content” and online presence. The second pool is those of us more functionally or operationally oriented.
No doubt ultimately personal branding is a dominant and powerful channel in the competitive business world in order to make our business effectively and to run along with the fast growing technological competitive business globe.
